Glencoe to Plato Hwy 212 Striping, Expect Brief Delays
MnDOT will be upgrading roadway striping to wet reflective markings on Highway 212 eastbound lanes from Highway 22 west of Glencoe to Highway 25 east of Plato.
Officials say striping operations begin today (Monday, Sept. 16) and will take two weeks to complete, depending on weather and other unforeseeable circumstances.
Special equipment will create a groove in the pavement and be followed by striping equipment which installs ground-in paint with wet reflective properties.
Travelers will encounter alternating lane closures and may experience brief delays.
MnDOT asks motorists to slow down in project areas for their safety and the safety of workers.
Benefits of the project include enhanced safety as wet reflective markings are more visible at night and in rainy conditions.
The project cost is approximately $300,000, and Sir Lines-A-Lot is the contractor.
