Golden Gopher Golfer finishes top 25 in NCAA’s
(Carlsbad, CA) — Golden Gopher senior golfer Ben Warian (WAR-yen) of Stillwater fired a four-over-par-76 in the final round of the N-C-A-A Championship Tournament yesterday in Carlsbad, California to wrap up the event in 25th place. He became the top finishing Gopher golfer in the championship meet since 2007. He finished the four-round event at four-over-par after shooting even par in each of the first three rounds. Warian, who played prep golf at Hill-Murray, will now move on to trying to qualify for the U-S Open. He finished his Gopher career earning second-team all-Big Ten honors.
