Gopher Baseball upsets #7 Oregon State

(Round Rock, TX) — The Golden Gopher baseball team wrapped up a weekend in Texas with a 10-4 victory over seventh-ranked Oregon State. This is Minnesota’s first win over Oregon State since 1999. Gopher left fielder Drew Berkland of Wayzata belted a two-run homer to give the Gophers a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning and things took off from there. Jameson Martin hit a three-run homer and Josh Fitzgerald drove home three on a homer and a single. The Gophers are now 2-4 on the season, while the Beavers dipped to 5-2. The Gophers lost to Oklahoma and Virginia earlier in the weekend. Minnesota will visit Arizona State for a three-game series starting on Friday.
