Gopher FB Brings Home The AX

Golden Gopher football won Paul Bunyan’s Axe for the third time in four years with a 24-7 win at Wisconsin on Friday. Quarterback Max Brosmer threw for two T-Ds and ran for another as the Gophers built up a 21-0 lead at halftime. Darius Taylor ran for 143 yards, and the Gopher defense held Wisconsin 166 yards of total offense. Minnesota finishes the regular season 7-5 overall and 6-3 in the Big Ten. They now wait to see what bowl game they’ll play.
