Gopher WBB team dominates
(Minneapolis, MN) — The University of Minnesota women’s basketball team raced to a 20-2 lead after one quarter of play and never looked back in an 82-37 victory over U-Mass Lowell last night at Williams Arena. Four Golden Gophers scored in double figures, including McKenna Johnson, Taylor Woodson, Tori McKinney and Sophie Hart. The Gophers led the game 41-14 at the half, holding the visiting River Hawks to 1-for-12 shooting in the first quarter and 4-14 shooting in the second quarter. Minnesota is now 3-0 on the season, while U-Mass Lowell dipped to 0-3. The Gophers leave tomorrow for Tempe, Arizona, where they will play Oregon State on Saturday at 2 P-M and S-M-U on Sunday at 1 P-M.
