Gopher Women Moves To Second Round

Golden Gopher women’s basketball beat Green Bay on Friday in the first round of the N-C-A-A Tournament, 75-58 at Williams Arena. The Gophers trailed for much of the first three quarters before outscoring Green Bay 30-9 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win. Amaya Battle led Minnesota with 21 points. The fourth-seeded Gophers move on to play the five-seed, Ole Miss, on Sunday at 1 p-m. Ole Miss beat Gonzaga, 81-66, in the first round.
