Gopher Women Wins 8th Straight

Mara Braun scored 20 points to help lead the Minnesota women’s basketball team (20-6, 11-4 Big Ten) past the Wisconsin Badgers (13-13, 5-10 Big Ten) 83-60 on the road Sunday. The Golden Gophers had four players score in double figures, led by Braun, who had 20 points. Amaya Battle tacked on 17 points and Sophie Hart helped out with 13 points and six rebounds. Tori McKinney had 12 points and matched her career high with five steals. Minnesota out-rebounded Wisconsin 29-26 in Sunday’s game, paced by six boards from Hart. The Gophers also grabbed 10 offensive rebounds and scored 17 second chance points. The Gophers return home on Wednesday evening for a 7 P-M tip against Ohio State at Williams Arena.
