Gopher Womens Basketball stays unbeaten

(Tempe, AZ) — The University of Minnesota women’s basketball team remained unbeaten with a 65-56 win over S-M-U at an event in Tempe, Arizona yesterday. The Golden Gophers outscored the Mustangs 23-12 in the fourth quarter to race away with the victory. Annika Stewart and Taylor Woodson each scored 18 points off the bench to lead Minnesota. Mara Braun added 13 points to help the cause. The Gophers forced 18 turnover while only committing seven themselves. Minnesota is now 5-0 on the season, while S-M-U dipped to 2-3. The Gophers will host Eastern Illinois on Wednesday at 7 P-M at Williams Arena.
