Gophers and Tommies will play in Basketball this coming season

(Minneapolis, MN/Learfield News) — The University of Minnesota men’s and women’s basketball teams will each host St. Thomas in 2026. The Golden Gopher men will entertain the Tommies on Friday, November 6th, at Williams Arena, while the Gopher women will welcome St. Thomas to The Barn on Tuesday, December 1st. This will be the first time since 1934 that the Gopher men will take on St. Thomas, which transitioned to Division I in 2021. The Minnesota and St. Thomas women have never played against each other. Full team schedules for Minnesota and St. Thomas in both men’s and women’s basketball will be released at later dates.
