Gophers M Club names 2024 HOF Class
(Minneapolis, MN) — The University of Minnesota athletic department announced there will be eight new members entering the “M Club” Hall of Fame early next month. The Class of 2024 is headlined by former N-F-L wide receiver Eric Decker of Cold Spring, former women’s hockey star Amanda Kessel, former men’s hockey coach Don Lucia, and former athletic director Joel Maturi. Other honorees include former volleyball star Tori Dixon, former men’s tennis player Harsh Mankad, former women’s track athlete Nicole Chimko, and former women’s gymnast Laurie Kaiser. Former women’s basketball star Rachel Banham and former volleyball player Sarah Willhite were also chosen for induction, but will be unable to attend the ceremony and will be officially inducted at a future date. Fans can attend the induction ceremony on Friday, September 6th at Williams Arena. Tickets are available at the Gopher Sports webpage.
