Gophers to compete at NCAA Track Nationals
(Eugene, OR) — The 2024 N-C-A-A Track and Field Championships get underway in Eugene, Oregon today and there will be a strong Minnesota flavor. The Gopher Gopher women will have eight athletes representing the program in the N-C-A-A Championships in seven events. Thrower Shelby Frank will compete in both the hammer and the discus, while Anthonett Nabwe earned a spot in the shot put. Zoie Dundon will take part in the 3000-meter steeplechase, while Diarra Sow is in the triple jump. In addition, Odell Frye, Victory Godah, Zariyah Black and Alliyah McNeil will take part in the 4-by-100-meter relay. The Gopher women won the Big Ten title last month and have the most participants in the N-C-A-A’s since 2018. On the Gopher men’s side, Charles Godfred will take part in the high jump, Devin Augustine will compete in the 200-meter dash, while Angelos Mantzouranis will throw the hammer. The competition runs through Saturday.
