Grain Bin Rescue

Authorities were called to rescue a person trapped in a corn bin north of Hutchinson Tuesday morning.

The McLeod County Sheriff’s Office says the call came in just before 10am that a person was trapped in a bin on Lake Hook Road.

The victim was airlifted to HCMC in Minneapolis for treatment. The victim’s name has not been released.

The Sheriff’s Office says multiple first responders were transported to Hutchinson Hospital as a precaution, all of which were treated and released.
