Grant County Farm Family of the Year

Your GRANT County Farm Family of the year is: Jordan and Amy Schneeberger.

The Schneeberger farm was homesteaded in 1895 by Jordan’s great-great-grandfather.

In 1961, Jordan’s grandparents, Lorn and Kitty Schneeberger, began farming with Kitty’s father, Art Rustand. Today, Jordan raises corn, soybeans and sugar beets, alongside his dad, Larry, and two hired men, Cody Swift and Terry Ricks.

The Schneebergers are members of the Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative in Wahpeton, N.D., where all the farm’s sugar beets are processed. Jordan and his wife, Amy, met in 2016 while Jordan was attending the annual Min-Dak meeting with Amy’s brother.

They were married three years later. Jordan and Amy reside on the farm with their daughters, Adelyn and Elena. Jordan volunteers with the Wendell Fire Department and serves on various committees. Amy is involved with the West Central Area School Dollars for Scholars program.

Congratulations to the Schneebergers on winning Grant County Farm Family of the year!
