Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Willmar Closing

Officials with Habitat for Humanity of West Central Minnesota have announced the ReStore north of Willmar will be closing.

The store on Highway 71 was a place where people could bring household items and construction materials to be resold and reused with proceeds used for the Habitat’s mission of building homes for families in need.

Officials say over the past several years, they’ve seen an increase in other places for people to take donations and thus the viability of the ReStore and the financial support for the Habitat mission has diminished.

In an effort to liquidate the items, they’ll be having a store closing sale beginning Thursday (January 2) and running through the end of January, with all items being sold on a “make an offer” basis.
