HAPPY SENTENCED IN WINDOM MURDER
The man convicted in a fatal New Year’s Eve stabbing in Windom has been sentenced. 26-year-old No Name Given Happy of San Diego was sentenced to 15 years in prison for second-degree murder and a concurrent 18 months for threats of violence. On New Year’s Eve, Happy made threatening comments about a gun to patrons at the Phat Pheasant Pub in Windom. At one point he was escorted outside, got a knife and stabbed 30-year-old Benjamin Matter of Windom. Matter was taken to a hospital but died of his injuries. Happy was convicted in June.
