Head On Injures Seven On 14

The Minnesota State Patrol is reporting a head on crash on highway 14 injured several people on Thursday afternoon. At approximately 5:15pm, a Ford Explorer, driven by 36 year old Eugene James Slaba of Eagle Lake, was traveling west on MN Highway 14, a 2007 Toyota Highlander driven by 66 year old Raimi Rae Waters of Mankato, was traveling east on MN Highway 14, when the vehicles collided head on near milepost 129, North Mankato. Waters suffered non-life threatening injures and was not transported to the hospital. Salba and 34 year old Heather Rose Salba, along with four juvenile passengers, all suffered non-life threatening injuries, three were taken to Mankato Mayo hospital. Everyone involved were wearing seatbelts. North Mankato Police, Mankato Police and Nicollet County Sheriff Department all assisted at the scene.
