Heat and Humidity Return to Minnesota

IMRN Chief Meteorologist Paul Trambley says hot and increasingly humid weather is returning to Minnesota heading into the weekend.

Temperatures are expected to climb into the upper 80s and lower 90s in many areas. The added humidity could push heat-index readings near 100 degrees in parts of central and southern Minnesota.

Scattered thunderstorm chances will accompany the changing weather pattern. Northern Minnesota has its best chance for storms Friday afternoon into Friday night, with isolated strong storms and large hail possible.
