Helen Jane Hennen, age 71 of Elbow Lake, Minnesota, passed away Friday, June 26, 2026, at her home in Elbow Lake, MN.
Visitation for Helen Hennen will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a time of sharing at 6:00 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, MN.
Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, MN.
Memorial services for Helen Jane Hennen will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, MN, with Father Todd Schneider officiating.
Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Morris, MN.
Helen Jane Loher, daughter of Gerald and Lois (Schmidt) Loher, was born on February 23, 1955 in Morris, Minnesota. In her youth she enjoyed spending time outdoors as a lifeguard and riding her horse to town. Helen graduated from Morris High School in 1973, and worked at different jobs around town. After attending Minneapolis Business College, she married Leroy Hennen at Assumption Church in Morris on March 8, 1975 and then moved to New Hope, MN. Helen and Leroy raised their two daughters in Blaine where she did daycare and then worked as an office manager for American Family Insurance.
Helen enjoyed spending time at the lake, playing cards and games with her family, baking goodies for every holiday and occasion, watching golf, and fishing. Her laughter and sense of humor will be missed and remembered forever.
Helen is survived by her husband: Leroy; daughters: Heather (Paul) Karpinski and Heidi (Jeff) Auel; grandchildren: Calyssa, Jenna, John, Benjamin, Abbey, Avery and Inga; great-grandchildren: Archie, Arthur, and Aurora; siblings: Debra Bauer (Loher), Bill Loher, Jerry Loher Jr., Pat Loher, Tim Loher, and Rick Loher.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Gerald and Lois Loher; and sisters: Audrey Perkins (Loher) and Joanie Murphy (Loher).
