Here is the three-day outlook for Sunday, August 23, through Tuesday, August 25.

Northern Minnesota

Sunday will be partly to mostly sunny and comfortable, with highs generally in the low-to-upper 70s. Overnight temperatures will fall into the upper 40s and 50s.

Clouds will increase Monday as the next weather system approaches. Showers and thunderstorms could develop across northwestern Minnesota during the afternoon and evening before spreading east. Highs will range from the upper 60s to middle 70s.

Periods of rain may continue Tuesday, especially during the morning. Temperatures will remain cooler, with highs mainly in the upper 60s and lower 70s.

Central Minnesota

Sunday will be mostly sunny and dry, with highs from the upper 70s to middle 80s. Winds should remain relatively light.

Monday will be warmer and a little more humid, with highs reaching the lower-to-middle 80s. Most of the day should remain dry, but thunderstorms could arrive from the west Monday night.

Scattered showers or thunderstorms may linger Tuesday morning before skies begin clearing. Highs should range from the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Southern Minnesota

Southern Minnesota will see plenty of sunshine Sunday, with afternoon temperatures reaching the lower-to-middle 80s.

Monday will remain warm and generally dry during the daytime. Highs will again climb into the 80s before clouds and storm chances increase Monday night.

Tuesday will bring a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Rain will not be continuous, and some areas may remain dry. Highs are expected to range from around 80 degrees into the middle 80s.
