Here’s how the USA finished in the medal count at the Olympics.
Team USA and China ended the Olympics tied with 40 golds. But the U.S. won more silvers and bronze medals than any other country.
Team USA beat China in the overall medal count, 126 to 91.
14 of our golds came in track-and-field this time . . . then swimming at 8 . . . cycling, 3 . . . and gymnastics, 3. China’s best events were diving, shooting, and table tennis.
America’s women athletes crushed it again, winning twice as many gold medals as the men. The women won 54% of our medals. Men snagged 41% of them, and 5% came in mixed events.
