HERMANN MONUMENT RESTORATION PROJECT COST ESTIMATE
A cost estimate is in for the Hermann Monument restoration project. A report prepared by MacDonald and Mack Architects has the estimated cost at $11.6-million. New Ulm Park and Rec Director Joey Schugel says this is the next step…
Schugel says since the project will take time to complete, many figures would fluctuate throughout the process. The report looks at the deconstruction and reconstruction of the monument. With cost estimates in, the city will need to look for additional funding sources. Schugel has recommended looking into Legacy Funds. The city council will look at the report again during their meeting April 7 with representatives from MacDonald and Mack in attendance.
