HIGHWAY 14/HIGHLAND AVENUE ROUNDABOUT PROJECT TO START MAY 20

Construction on the roundabout at the Highway 14/Highland Avenue intersection in New Ulm is expected to start May 20.  MnDOT says the project includes constructing a single-lane roundabout at that intersection, a new sidewalk and trail to connect existing locations.  Highway 14 from Brown County Road 12 to North Garden Street in New Ulm will be closed during construction.  Traffic will be detoured to Brown County Roads 12 and 29.  Access to businesses will remain open during construction.  The roundabout is expected to be done in late July, weather permitting.   The project was awarded to M.R Paving and Excavating with a bid of over $2.2-million.
