HIGHWAY 93 HENDERSON PROJECT IN FINAL YEAR OF CONSTRUCTION

The final year of construction on the Highway 93 project in Henderson is progressing well.  MnDOT says the work that was planned for 2026 before the highway can reopen to traffic includes completing the overflow bridge, finishing city utility installation and the floodwall, final grading, paving, installing signs and striping and establishing turf.  The project includes raising Highway 93 about 8 feet, placing it one foot above historic high-water events, reconstructing 3.6 miles of highway 93 from Highway 169 to Elm Street in Henderson and replacing the Rush River bridge.  Highway 93 has been closed since April 15, 2024 and construction is expected to be completed this fall.
