Hopkins Daycare Murder-Suicide Linked to Fourth Death

Police say a man killed his wife and their seven-year-old daughter at a Hopkins home daycare before taking his own life Wednesday morning.

Six other children were inside Brown Bear Childcare at the time. None was physically injured, and all were reunited with their families.

Investigators have also linked the man to the killing of a 78-year-old female relative at a Burnsville home. Police say the motive remains under investigation and there is no continuing threat to the public.

The victims’ names have not been released.
