Hutchinson Christmas Tree Recycling

The City of Hutchinson will once again be recycling real Christmas trees this year.

Recycling Christmas trees is an annual project that officials say is a benefit to the environment in that the renewable resource provides organic mulch and compost, so Christmas trees keep giving all year long.

There will be ten drop-off sites located around town that residents can dispose of their real trees, beginning the day after Christmas.

Officials say all ornaments, tinsel, garland, wire, plastic bags, tree stands, etc. should be removed.
