Hutchinson Implements Water Conservation Measures
The City of Hutchinson has implemented water conservation measures to contribute to Minnesota drought plans.
The measures include watering restrictions like no lawn watering from 9:00am–6:00pm on any day, as well as other non-essential outdoor water use such as personal car washing.
The city has already begun reducing its organizational water usage. City crews have extended the time between watering for athletic fields and park land. Work schedule adjustments are also being used to limit watering during the warmest times of day when most evaporation occurs.
