Hwy 212 Striping Near Glencoe Nears Completion
Minnesota Department of Transportation workers will complete striping operations on the Highway 212 eastbound lanes near Glencoe by the end of today (Oct 4).
Officials say the roadway striping was upgraded to wet reflective markings from Highway 22 west of Glencoe to Highway 25 east of Plato.
Special equipment created a groove in the pavement and striping equipment installed ground-in paint with wet reflective properties.
Benefits of the project include enhanced safety as wet reflective markings are more visible at night and in rainy conditions.
The project cost is approximately $300,000, and Sir Lines-A-Lot is the contractor.
