Iconic “A League Of Their Own Ballpark” Burns Down
The famous baseball stadium that was used in the filming of the 1992 classic movie, A League of Their Own, caught fire on Thursday night and is a total loss. The Jay Littleton Ball Park in Ontario, California dates back to 1937 and was also used for filming in quite a few other films and the most current streaming reboot of the classic movie.
Those other films include: 1948’s The Babe Ruth Story, 1988’s Eight Men Out, and 1992’s The Babe.
The 1999 X-Files episode of “The Unnatural” also shot scenes at the ballpark.
There were no injuries sustained in the fire and the cause still remains under investigation.
