Victoria Woman Charged in Fatal Crash

A Victoria woman has been charged in connection with a head-on crash Saturday night on Highway 212 in Eden Prairie that killed a Hopkins man.

Fifty-year-old Amanda Lyn Merriman is charged with one felony count of criminal vehicular homicide for allegedly causing a death while operating a motor vehicle in a negligent manner while under the influence of alcohol.

Authorities say Merriman was driving a pickup traveling the wrong way on westbound Highway 212 and collided with an oncoming car.

The driver of the car, 69-year-old Bohdan Antoniuk, died as a result of his injuries.
