Injuries Force Canistota to Forfeit Freeman Homecoming Game

Freeman’s varsity homecoming football game will not be played Friday night.

Canistota canceled the September 25th matchup after injuries worsened an already limited roster, leaving the Hawks without enough healthy players to compete safely.

Top-ranked Freeman receives a forfeit victory and improves to 6-and-0. Canistota falls to 1-and-5.

The junior-high game remains scheduled for 5 P-M, while Freeman’s other homecoming activities are expected to continue.
