Investigation of Bomb Threat at BOLD School

Authorities beefed up security Monday at BOLD School in Olivia after an employee reported a note referencing a bomb threat last week.

The Olivia Police Department said as a precaution, Olivia Police with assistance from the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, deployed additional officers and deputies to the BOLD School during morning arrivals.

Officers and school staff also implemented enhanced security measures, including screening all individuals entering the premises.

On their website, BOLD Superintendent Jim Menton posted that the individual responsible for the threatening note has been identified and said they are grateful for the swift work of our school staff and local law enforcement officers who helped to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

The investigation continues.
