Investigation of “Suspicious Incident” in Meeker Co

The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what they’re calling a suspicious incident from Friday morning.

Authorities say between 6am and 7am, an 18-year-old woman was running near Darwin-Dassel County Park when a stranger approached her and chased her.

A press release says the man was in his 20s, with blonde hair, and about 6’1”tall. He is described as skinny and wearing gray sweatpants and a gray sweatshirt.

The victim said a good Samaritan, who was also out jogging, came by during this time and scared the suspect away.

This is an active and ongoing investigation and detectives would like to talk with the good Samaritan.  The Sheriff’s Office is also seeking video from any surveillance cameras in the area.
