It’s About Time- George Strait To Claim Lifetime Achievement Award

George Strait is set to receive the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the CMAs on Wednesday November 20th.

During his long career, he’s had 17 CMA wins, earned 83 CMA nominations (which is the most ever) , released 60 #1 singles, and sold over 70 million albums.   So yeah, it’s about time.

Interestingly, the award was first given out in 2012 to Willie Nelson (which is why it’s named after him) but this award is NOT given out every year.  George will now be the ninth artist to be honored with this award.
