Jake Lang, Six Supporters Arrested After Minneapolis City Hall Clash

Right-wing activist Jake Lang and six supporters were arrested Saturday following a confrontation outside Minneapolis City Hall.

Police say two vehicles carrying members of Lang’s group drove onto the sidewalk toward a gathered crowd shortly before noon. Officers moved the vehicles out of the area and later stopped them at separate locations in Minneapolis and Bloomington.

Lang and the other occupants were arrested on probable cause of rioting. The vehicles were impounded.

Police say people from Lang’s group and the counterprotest used pepper spray during the confrontation. Authorities say Minneapolis officers did not deploy pepper spray.

The arrests remain under investigation.
