Jalapeño Products Sold in Minnesota Recalled

Taylor Fresh Foods is recalling several prepared foods containing jalapeños because of possible salmonella contamination.

The recall includes Hot or Spicy Pico de Gallo and Mild Pico de Gallo sold at select Walmart stores in Minnesota. Other recalled products include guacamole, salsa and taco dip sold through several major retailers.

Affected products have “Best If Used By” dates through August 16th. The company says no illnesses have been directly linked to the recalled prepared foods.

Consumers should not eat the products and should throw them away or return them for a refund. The recall follows an investigation involving jalapeños supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors.
