James Wieland, Sr.

James Wieland Sr., age 92 of New Ulm, died Wednesday, August
19, 2026 at Oak Hills Living Center.
Funeral Service: 11am on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at St.
John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Burial will
follow the New Ulm City Cemetery – Soldier’s Rest. Full military
honors will be provided by the New Ulm Area Comrades of Valor
Honor Guard.
Visitation:
4-7pm on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at Minnesota Valley Funeral
Home – SOUTH chapel and will continue Wednesday morning
from 10-11am at St. John’s, prior to the service.
Minnesota Valley Funeral Home of New Ulm is in charge of
the arrangements.
