Jean D. (Spano) Schmidt, age 86 of Howard Lake, Minnesota, formerly of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, September 27, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly, Minnesota, with a private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at a later date.  Visitation will be at the church on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the Mass.  In lieu of flowers, donations to a military service organization is preferred.  Arrangements are with Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Howard Lake and Cokato.
