Jenkins Records First MLB Hit in Twins’ 7-4 Loss

Walker Jenkins recorded his first major-league hit Friday night, but the Minnesota Twins lost to the Chicago White Sox 7-to-4.

The 21-year-old top prospect went 1-for-3 with a walk in his M-L-B debut. Jenkins singled on the first pitch of his second at-bat and received multiple standing ovations from the Target Field crowd.

Twins starter Dean Kremer allowed six runs over four innings. Colson Montgomery hit a three-run homer in the first—his 28th of the season—for the division-leading White Sox.

Brooks Lee and Kody Clemens homered for Minnesota.
