Jonathan Kuminga Agrees to Two-Year Deal With Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves have reportedly reached an agreement with free-agent forward Jonathan Kuminga.

Kuminga’s agent says the 23-year-old agreed to a two-year contract worth 12-point-4-million dollars. The second season includes a player option.

Kuminga averaged 12-and-a-half points and just over four rebounds last season while playing for Golden State and Atlanta.

The former seventh-overall draft pick is expected to fill Minnesota’s opening at power forward. Anthony Edwards reportedly helped recruit Kuminga, who also received interest from the Lakers, Bulls and Trail Blazers.

The Timberwolves have not yet formally announced the signing. NBA.com
