Juvenile Accidently Shot

An 8 year old child was shot last week in rural Fosston. 

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report that a juvenile male was accidentally shot in the leg by another juvenile. 

Authorities say that a .22 caliber handgun was recovered at the scene. The 8 year old was transported by ambulance to Fosston and then airlifted to Sanford in Fargo for further medical care which appears to be non-life threatening.

Authorities responded just after 1pm on Thursday.

This is an on-going investigation.
