Juvenile Among Those Injured In Two Vehicle Crash

Two people were injured in a two vehicle accident Tuesday in Marshall County. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Richard Wayne Jorde, (81) of Thief River Falls was injured when the 2022 Ford Maverick he was driving collided with a northbound Suburban on Highway 59 in Excel Township. 

Authorities say that a passenger in the suburban, a boy from Roseau, was taken to Thief River Falls emergency room with injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening. The driver of the suburban, Austin Donald Lefrooth, (26) of Stranquist, and two other passengers suffered no apparent injury. 

Lefrooth was the only one not wearing a seat-belt in the accident reported around 8pm. 

Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
