Kaprizov logs a goal and an assist and Gustavsson makes 23 saves as the Wild beats Blue Jackets 3-1
COLUMBUS, OH – Kirill Kaprizov had a standout performance with a goal and an assist, leading the Minnesota Wild to a 3-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Marco Rossi opened the scoring early in the game by capitalizing on a Jackets turnover. In the third period, Kaprizov scored on a power play, followed by Mats Zuccarello adding another goal shortly after. Yegor Chinakhov found the net for the Blue Jackets late in the game. Filip Gustavsson made 23 saves, while Daniil Tarasov recorded 32 stops in his first game in place of the injured Elvis Merzlikins. Next, the Wild will face the Florida Panthers, and the Blue Jackets will host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday.
