Karen was born on June 19, 1955, in Shakopee, MN, to Frederick and Mary (Ruehling) Koepp.
She grew up in Belle Plaine, where she graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1973. Soon
after, she married the love of her life, Lynn Dobesh, on April 12, 1975, at St. John Lutheran

Karen worked for several businesses over the years, including a coffee production plant, It Takes

in all she did, her greatest joy and most cherished role was being a mother to her two sons,
Daniel and Matthew. She was also a faithful member of Zion United Church of Christ in Le
Sueur for over 46 years.
She was deeply devoted to her family and treasured every moment spent with them, especially
with her beloved grandchildren. She found happiness in simple pleasures; time at the family
cabin, baking, cooking, annual birthday shopping with her twin and creating memories with
those she loved most. She always looked forward and cherished each and every family holiday
get together.
Karen is survived by her sons, Daniel (Sara) Dobesh of Lakeville, MN and Matthew Dobesh of
Buckeye, AZ; grandchildren, Alexa and Lucas Dobesh, Dylan and Kelysta Dobesh; siblings,
David (Char) Koepp, Sharon (Duane) Wolters, Brent (Wendy) Koepp, and sister-in-law Sally
