Katherine Joan “Kitty Jo” Collins, age 83 of Henderson, passed away on July 9, 2024. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Le Sueur, MN. Fr. Sam Perez will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 4-7 P.M. at Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur, MN and continued from 1:00-1:50 P.M. before the procession to church. Burial will follow the Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Henderson, MN. Reception to follow at 4:00 P.M. at the River Bottom Tavern and Brewhouse (formerly the RoadHaus) event center in Henderson, MN.

Kitty Jo was born on June 8, 1941, to Matthew and Margaret (Doheny) Walsh in Saint Peter, MN. She graduated Henderson High School in 1959 and married Richard “Dick” Collins on January 21, 1961, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Henderson, MN. She worked at Wagars in Henderson for 8 years, as a cook for the school for 8 years and most importantly as a homemaker.

She enjoyed rides on her golf cart around Henderson, Tuesday lunches with her ladies, and Wednesday visits with Les. She loved bingo nights, the roll in and anything related to Henderson. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family. She will be deeply missed.

Kitty Jo is survived by her children, James (Denise) Collins of Mendota Heights, MN, Timothy (Tamie) Collins of Waseca, MN, Daniel (Beth) Collins of Elk River, MN, and Sara (Doug) Pfarr of Le Sueur, MN; grandchildren, Maggie Collins, Betsie (Lucas) Kracht, Danni (Zeke) Schroeder, Abby Collins, Corey (Anna), Nate and Carley Collins, Adam (Mollie), Ryan (Alexia), Luke (Liz) and Chad Pfarr; great-grandchildren, Drew and Max Kracht, Finley, Avery, and Wesley Pfarr, and Hazel Collins; sister, Shirley (Gene) Brandt and brother, Bill (Lorraine) Walsh. Brother-in-law Joe (Darlene) Collins and Sister-in-law Jean Bakke.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, “Dick”; grandsons, Jeremy Collins and Kyle Pfarr; great-grandson, Lane Kracht; and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
