The Cedar Mills Gun Club is hosting their annual Fish Fry on Friday, March 27th from 11a until the Fish are gone.  Adults are $16, Ages 6-12 are $8.  Live Music by South 40 starting at 8 pm.  Also take part in the raffle!

The 28th Annual Tim Orth Memorial Foundation’s basketball jamboree will be held at Glencoe Silver Lake High School Gymnasium on Saturday, March 28th.  The doors open at 3:30 p.m. with the games beginning at 5:15 p.m.  ADMISSION FOR EVERYONE IS FREE WILL DONATIONS. 

Also on Saturday, March 28 there will be a 3 on 3 Basketball Pick up Tournament from 9 am – 1:30 pm.  Grades 5-8 in one tournament & 9th grade – adult in another.  Crown College male & female varsity players will host a Free Basketball Clinic for all boys & girls, Kindergarten – 8th grade, from 2 – 3:30 pm.  For more information about these two events call Josh Otto-Fisher at 952-457-0207.

 

Male and female area high school senior athletes will play two basketball games.  The following entertainment will take place at the event:  Hutch Tiger Special Olympics, GSL Dance line, Kelly’s Dance Academy, Touch of Grace Dance, ShortFuse Dance Fit,  Revolution Dance, Synergy Dance Project, Jada Neid (a past recipient) dance performance, GSL 5th & 6th grade choir, HHS Key Club face painting, the Amazing Hoopster, Panther Paws Gymnastics, Balloon Artist, Disney Princesses, 3 point shooting contests, slam dunk contest and more!

 

The proceeds (raffles, concessions, admission free will donations, silent auction and community donations) from this event will be given to: Rhyder Madrid, Brownton; Benjamin Conklin, Glencoe, Valery Barragan-Chavez, Masyn Buschel, Cash Casillas, Audrey Jones, Luciana Lezama & Kendall Matlock all of Hutchinson & Maiv Garland, Litchfield.

The 5th Annual Philanthropic Educational Organization Cornhole Tournament!

When: Saturday, March 28th

Where: Bobbing Bobber Brewing Company

Times: Registration opens at noon | Tournament begins at 1 p.m.

Cost: $50 per team.

Proceeds fund scholarships and local charities that empower women in our community.

Whether you’re competing for the cash prizes or just here for the bake sale and raffles, come out and cheer on your favorite team! It’s a great day for a great cause.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Green Isle is having their annual Smoked Ham and Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, March 29th from 10a-1p.  Cost is a Free Will Offering for Pancakes, Eggs, Ham, Cheese, Applesauce and more!  Proceeds raised go toward building and parking lot repairs at the church.

The Hector Legion Auxiliary Scholarship Brunch is coming up on Sunday, March 29th at Hector Commun ity Center from 8a-12:30pm.  Serving Pancakes, French Toast, Eggs and more for a Free will Donation!  Dine in or take out.

The Sibley County Sr. Expo is Thursday, April 9 th at Peace Lutheran Church in Arlington.  The day will begin with coffee cake; coffee &; juice being served at 9 a.m. Local providers will have information booths on display. “Off Duty Chief (Tim Eggebraaten)” will be the featured afternoon entertainment.  Presentations include Goldsmith Eye Care on Eye Health, MN River Area Agency on Aging on Caregiver Support and South Country Health Alliance on Senior Services. A Pork Commercial meal will be served at 11:30 a.m. and the day’s events will conclude at 2:00 p.m.

The Dassel History Center presents Charlie Maguire in Concert: Songs of America’s Hometowns.  The event will be held on Saturday, April 11th at 2 pm at the History Center.  Maguire will be performing songs celebrating the 250th Anniversary of our nation.  All ages are welcome.  The Concert is FREE but RSVP’s are welcome to ensure seating for everyone.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Eden Valley is hosting their Smelt and Fish Fry on Saturday, April 25th, serving from 11a-7p (or until gone).  All you can eat for $20 per person, Ages 7-12 $10.  Serving Smelt, Cod, Potato Salad, Beans, Coleslaw and more.  Don’t forget to shop the church bake sale as well.
