Kelsey Mitchell drops 21, Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark score 17 each as Fever top Lynx 81-74

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Kelsey Mitchell led the charge with 21 points, while Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark each contributed 17 points to propel the Indiana Fever to an 81-74 victory over the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday.

Boston also had a standout performance with a career-best 16 rebounds and four blocked shots for the Fever. NaLyssa Smith chipped in with 11 points as Indiana improved to 11-14 for the season, marking their eighth win in the last 12 games after a challenging start.

Clark played a pivotal role, setting up Boston for key baskets down the stretch. After a competitive fourth quarter, Mitchell’s crucial block and subsequent free throws secured the win for Indiana. Clark herself sealed the victory with two more free throws in the final seconds.

Despite a strong effort from Alanna Smith, who scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Minnesota, foul trouble hindered her impact in the second half. Bridget Carleton matched her career high with five 3-pointers, contributing 17 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.

Minnesota was without star player Napheesa Collier, sidelined due to a foot injury for the fourth consecutive game. The game saw momentum swings, with Courtney Williams and Dorka Juhasz making critical plays for the Fever to counter Minnesota’s efforts.

Boston’s early dominance with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks in the first half set the tone for Indiana’s resilience throughout the game. Mitchell, Samuelson, and Clark’s clutch plays in the second half ultimately secured the Fever’s hard-fought victory.
