KERKHOVEN MAN KILLED IN CRASH NEAR WILLMAR

Willmar, MN) – A Kerkhoven man is dead after a multi-vehicle crash west of Willmar this morning (FRI). At around 7:20 a.m., two vehicles collided in the eastbound lane of Highway 40, which is just east of the entrance to the Willmar airport. No one was injured. Conditions were very foggy at the time, and the crash caused a traffic backup. A 68-year-old man, identified as  Jeffrey Bauman of Kerkhoven who was passing by stopped to check on the crash, got out of his vehicle, and was struck and killed by an eastbound S-U-V. The driver, 30-year-old Jessica Schneider of Maynard, was not hurt. The name of the man who was killed has not been released.
