Kirk Mitchell Gloege

Kirk Mitchell Gloege, age 78 of Belle Plaine, died on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the
Estates of Delano where he had been for the last few weeks. Celebration of his life will
be on Saturday, August 29th at Neisen’s Corner Bar in Belle Plaine, MN from 2-7 p.m.
Kirk was born on December 11, 1947, to Clarence and Gladys (Hesse) Gloege in
Watertown, MN. He lived in Appleton, Wisconsin as a small boy and later moved to
Belle Plaine where he graduated from High School in 1966. He married Jeanette
Sullivan on August 29, 1970 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in St. Thomas, MN. The
couple lived in Belle Plaine and raised their two children there. He worked for many
years as a machinist and fabricator for Continental Machines in Savage, MN. He later
retired from there after a 40-year career with them.
Kirk enjoyed time with family and friends, He was an avid golfer and bowler. He
frequented Canterbury Downs for the simulcast as well as for the live races.
He is survived by his children; Heidi (William) Miller of Maple Plain, MN and Casey
Gloege of Grimes, Iowa. Grandchildren, Carter, Jack, Cash, Brecken, Vienna, Dash,
Sloan, Nicholas, Ryan and Marysa. Also other in-laws, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jeanette and siblings, Simonetta Gloege,
Clayton Gloege and Vernona Gloege.
