KOC says Jefferson will be ready for Week 1

(Eagan, MN/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Vikings returned to T-C-O Performance Center for another day of training camp yesterday and will have another workout today. Prior to practice yesterday, head coach Kevin O’Connell told reporters that he’s as certain as he can be that Justin Jefferson will be available before Week One of the regular season. Jefferson has been out of training camp with a hamstring injury that last few days. O’Connell says Jefferson is stepping up in a sideline leadership role through this injury, while also allowing other players some chances to showcase themselves in his absence. Minnesota continue camp today and will be off tomorrow.
