LA Dodgers win World Series
(Bronx, NY) — For the second time in five seasons the Los Angeles Dodgers are World Series championship. The Blue Crew captured their eighth title in franchise history after rallying for a 7-6 win over the New York Yankees in Game Five of the World Series. Blake Treinen was credited with the victory after pitching two and a third scoreless innings of relief. Walker Buehler secured the championship after closing out the bottom of the ninth. Freddie Freeman went one for four with a two-run single and was named World Series M-V-P. Gerrit Cole started the game for the Pinstripes and allowed five unearned runs over six and two-thirds innings. Tommy Kahnle was charged with the loss after allowing two runs on two hits and a walk in his relief appearance. Aaron Judge, Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Giancarlo Stanton each went deep in defeat.
